Discussion on the production process of glass marbles

The raw material of glass ball is mostly waste glass and raw material. To make glass spheres, first of all, all kinds of ores should be crushed, added into powder, and then according to the composition of glass, made into compound material, and washed together with the waste glass into the glass furnace for melting, forming glass liquid. The liquid glass flows through the feeding tank and needs to be fully melted and clarified. Clarification process is the highest temperature stage in the process of glass melting (1400-1500℃), the essence of the clarification process is to improve the temperature and reduce the viscosity and the coordination of clarifying agent, on the one hand to reduce the bubble buoyancy resistance, on the one hand to expand the bubble volume, the bubble exclusion, and cut off the source of renewable bubbles. After clarification, the glass liquid finally flows out from the outlet to form the stock. Stock temperature, milk glass is generally 1150~1170℃, ordinary transparent glass is 1200~1220℃. The stock is sheared into pellets nearly 200 times per minute. The ball embryo goes through the chute, the ball distributor, and is moved by the ball distributor plate, rolls into different funnels, and then falls into the ball forming groove composed of three rollers with the same rotation direction. The ball embryo rotates on the roller and its surface tension acts, gradually forming a smooth and rounded glass ball.
Finally, after cooling and selection, it is the glass ball we see everyday.

All the glass balls are molded by the machine at one time. There are a few bubbles inside the glass balls, and the surface will retain the scar, fingernail marks and obvious impact points produced during the production, but the balls are very smooth and round
